Translation
In 1996, I was asked whether I was interested in translating a mathematics textbook from French to English. The result is Algebraic Geometry and Arithmetic Curves by Qing Liu, now available in both hardcover and paperback. Since then, I have been able to combine my knowledge of mathematics and languages in other translation projects.
Languages
I prefer to translate from French or Dutch to English (American); I can also translate short projects (no books) from French or English to Dutch.
Area of Expertise
A math text should be translated by someone who understands the text. This is why I prefer to restrict myself to translating texts pertaining to geometry. My Ph.D. thesis was on arithmetic algebraic geometry.
