Editing - Translated Texts
A text that only contains some mathematics does not necessarily require a mathematician as translator, provided that the specialized content is checked. In such a case, I can verify that the mathematics in the translation corresponds to that in the original text. I have edited the text of one cd-rom and the mathematical content of two books. The books are part of the Wetenschappelijke Bibliotheek of Veen Magazines.
- De telduivel, cd-rom based on the book by H.M. Enzensberger
- Het tellen van de tijd, by Jean Lefort
- Het fascinerende getal π, by Jean-Paul Delahaye
Editing - Original Texts
Not all mathematicians are equally fluent in English. Having a text checked by a copyeditor may greatly improve its readability. At present, I provide light copyediting of English-language texts for the online math journal Algebraic Geometry.
